DO YOU HAVE A TON OF BOOKS YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET PACKED AND DONATED? WELL, DO IT NOW. THE LIBRARY FRIENDS CAN USE THEM FOR OUR BIG CORN BOIL USED BOOK SALE.

PUT THEM IN YOUR CAR AND LOOK AT OUR BOOK SORTING ARTICLE ON THE FRIENDS WEBSITE. ON THE DAYS WE ARE SORTING BOOKS AT OUR WAREHOUSE, YOU ARE WELCOMED TO BRING OVER YOUR LARGE LOADS OF BOOKS AND WE WILL UNLOAD YOUR CAR FOR YOU. YOU CAN STILL MAKE DONATIONS AT THE LIBRARY, BUT IT IS EASIER FOR US, IF YOU HAVE 4 BOXES OR MORE, TO BRING THEM HERE!

DIRECTIONS AND DATES WITH TIMES ARE IN THE BOOK SORTING ARTICLE AT WWW.SGLIBRARYFRIENDS.ORG !

REMEMBER ALL MONEY MADE FROM BOOK SALES GOES TO THE LIBRARY FOR MATERIALS AND BOOKS. AND THE LIBRARY GETS FIRST CHOICE OF ALL BOOKS IN CASE THERE ARE SOME THAT CAN GO ON THE LIBRARY BOOK SHELVES.

CURRENT BOOKS ARE TRULY APPRECIATED. RATHER THAN PASSING A NEW BOOK ON TO A FRIEND, WHY NOT DONATE IT TO THE LIBRARY AND TELL YOUR FRIEND THE LIBRARY IS TAKING CARE OF IT FOR YOU AND THEY CAN CHECK IT OUT AT THE LIBRARY!

THANKS EVERYONE! TO DATE, THE LIBRARY HAS RECEIVED OVER 2000 BOOKS THAT WAY. SAVES THE EARTH AND SAVES THE TAXPAYERS DOLLARS TOO.

WE ARE STILL IN THE SUGAR GROVE INDUSTRIAL PARK BUT WE HAVE MOVED TO A NEW WAREHOUSE THAT NOW HAS A RESTROOM AND HEAT!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!

BUILDING AT 760 N. HEARTLAND DRIVE, #5, SUGAR GROVE, IL 60554

OFF OF ROUTE 47 NORTH OF BLISS/WHEELER ROAD.
THERE IS A STOP LIGHT ON ROUTE 47 AT WAUBONSEE DRIVE (NOT ENTRANCE TO WAUBONSEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE-OTHER DIRECTION) YOU NEED TO GO WEST AT THIS LIGHT ON WAUBONSEE DRIVE (TOWARDS THE BANK NOT TOWARDS THE COLLEGE.)

WAUBONSEE DR BECOMES HEARTLAND DR.

GO TO NICK’S FURNITURE STORE. WE ARE IN THE SPACE RIGHT NEXT TO NICK’S IN SAME BUILDING AS NICK’S.

#5 SAYS CASKET COMPANY ON DOOR YOU ENTER. WE WILL BE INSIDE AND THERE IS A SIGN ON THE DOOR THAT WE ARE THERE AND TO COME IN. TRY BOTH DOORS. ONE WILL BE UNLOCKED BUT THEY ARE HEAVY SO PULL HARD. YOU WILL SEE SOME CARS AND VANS. THIS IS A VERY EASY VOLUNTEER JOB. WE JUST PUT PAPERBACKS IN ONE BOX, KIDS BOOKS IN ANOTHER BOX, AND OTHER GROUPS IN ANOTHER BOX, AND SO ON.

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US ON ALL OR ANY OF THOSE DATES, PLEASE COME ON OVER.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME AND WE SURE COULD USE THE HELP. ALL FUNDS WE RAISE FROM OUR BOOK SALES GOES TO LIBRARY READING MATERIALS AND PROGRAMS.

WE COULD USE YOUR CURRENT BOOKS AND DVD’S. THE LIBRARY TAKES THE MORE CURRENT ITEMS TO USE IN THE LIBRARY SO THAT IS A DOUBLE PLUS. OLDER MATERIALS ARE ALSO APPRECIATED. WE DO ALSO TAKE, VHS, BOOKS-ON-TAPE, RECORDS, MAGAZINES (PREFERABLY A YEAR’S WORTH) ETC.

WE WILL NOT BE ON THE APRIL 5, 2011 BALLOT WITH OUR REFERENDUM. THE LIBRARY BOARD HAS DECIDED THAT BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT ECONOMIC CONDITIONS, NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO ASK RESIDENTS WHO ARE ALREADY STRUGGLING.

It’s that time again! On February 5, 2008, voters will again be asked to support the library in a referendum question that asks for an increase in the operations rate to $.25 per $100 of assessed value. That means the library is asking the owner of a $300,000 home to pay approximately $332.47 a year to keep the library open and providing the level of service our community should expect from a public library.

It’s especially crucial at this time because the new building will be completed in the Fall of 2009, and the funds generated by passage of this referendum will be received by the library in July of 2009–just in the nick of time for the move to the larger, better equipped facility.

To learn how you can help educate the community about the referendum, email Pat Graceffa at patdangraceffa@msn.com. Detailed information about the referendum can be found in the
